Grade 11 - Oil Painting "STILL-LIFE"

For this mini-unit, you will learn how to apply glazes to a painting in order to achieve a realistic painting of a still-life object.  The objectives for this assignment will be...
  •  to experience working with oils (glazing & blending)
  •  to apply previous knowledge of facial proportions
  •  to practice mixing colours, as needed (colour theory)
  •  to observe and practice the use of values to create form

Below, I have posted the powerpoint viewed in class that explains oil painting techniques (left) & a handout with oil painting terms and information (right).  These may be helpful for review for the exam.
