Along with your Triptych 3 Art Piece, your completed Artist Portfolio makes up the remainder of your CPT mark in grade 12 Visual Arts. Requirements for the portfolio, a major component of which is the Artist Statement, are explained below. Check due dates on the calendar of the Grade 12 page.
How to write an Artist Statement:

The Artist Statement is worth 10 Communication marks. You will be marked on content and quality of your writing. Check for spelling and grammar! First person voice is permitted - write it in order to be authentically you.

What to include in your Portfolio:
The Portfolio is worth 20 Application marks. It will be marked based on the following criteria...
1. Are all items included that should be (see the list below)?
2. Is everything labelled with credit lines and presented in a professional manner (clear photos / neatness)?
3. Does the portfolio try to represent YOU as an artist? Creative touches can be included, but should NOT distract from your art / writing.
(Avoid patterned papers or fancy fonts and GLITTER!!!)
