The following themes have been chosen to be explored throughout the semester: (1) place, (2) human form,                        (3) decay/weathered beauty, and (4) elements of nature.

18 - Theme #1 (Place) Research due
23 - Mid-Critique #1

10 - Art Piece #1 Due Date

ONCE A WEEK - SKILL BUILDING:
In this course, you will select your 2 best "skill-building" drawings per month to be submitted for evaluation (8 in total).

FEBRUARY - Practicing Still Life
1. pen & ink, 2. value study, 3. contour, 4. choice of approach

MARCH - Drawing the Human Form
1. gesture, 2. contour, 3. blind contour, 4. choice of approach

APRIL / MAY - Using Colour
1. colour reference sheets, 2. experiment with new colour schemes (mini canvas), 3. mix any  ten colours challenge, 4. paint a landscape (mixing greens successfully)
 
JUNE - submit for evaluation (June 13th)
